A New Year

Happy 2012! In Brazil, summer vacation is in January. Not much else gets done. Living Stones has been on break, and is beginning again in the month of February. In Cajueiro Claro, the soup ministry in the afternoons continued, so that the children and their families would not be in need over the break. Two of the older boys in the program have taken over the distributing process, and also share a devotional with everyone while they are eating. It is so exciting to see this ministry grow!

Not to say that nothing happened in January: Rachel, the coordinator for Living Stones, was in the United States sharing about the ministry and trying to organize all of the finances. Over $5000 was raised! If you would like to recieve bi-monthly e-mails from her about Living Stones, please e-mail amobrasil99@hotmail.com.

Please keep in your prayers some new opportunities that are coming up:
1. Paudalho has finished building the roof, and just needs to add windows and doors before we can re-open Living Stones there. Hopefully this will happen by the end of the month.
2. Pastor Flavio is beginning another ministry (perhaps a Living Stones?) in Mussurepe, near the Word of Life camp outside of Paudalho. We are excited to see what God has in mind for this community!
3. Hopefully the construction can be finished in Lagoa De Itaenga by July, and we can begin Living Stones (number 3 or 4) with Pastor Ricardo in August.

While getting ready for Cajueiro Claro to open, the children came and made flower chains. To see the whole story (with pictures): http://rwinzeler.xanga.com/758831352/flowers/

Thank you so much for joining with us in 2012!
